David has also contributed as a writer for the productions of the James Bond films The World Is Not Enough and Die Another Day and also shared his Cold War espionage expertise for the Ian Fleming docudrama True Bond, which was broadcast in Britain on ITV and in North America on The History Network. True Bond earned the Best Documentary Award from the New York Television Festival in 2008.

As well, the November/December 2008 issue of Cigar Aficionado was a special James Bond edition written by David Giammarco, featuring an extensive 20-page feature on the making of Quantum of Solace from his exclusive interviews on location with Daniel Craig, Gemma Arterton, Olga Kurylenko, Mathieu Amalric, director Marc Forster, and producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson. This tribute issue of the upscale magazine also featured Giammarco’s in-depth profile of 007 author Ian Fleming and the 46-year history of the Bond films. The James Bond edition of Cigar Aficionado became the magazine’s biggest-selling issue.

Additionally, David has also travelled around the world with director Steven Spielberg and Tom Cruise as the Host, Writer, and Producer for Paramount’s War of the Worlds television special. The following year, David was invited back by Tom Cruise to work on Mission: Impossible III with director J.J. Abrams, where they travelled to Rome, Tokyo, Mexico City, London, Paris, Marseilles, Berlin, and Madrid for filming.

Amongst his other numerous film and television roles, David has also acted opposite Kevin Costner, Dennis Hopper, Kelsey Grammer and Nathan Lane in the political comedy Swing Vote; battled horror icon Freddy Krueger in the film Freddy Vs. David Giammarco has also served as Juror on a number of Canadian and American Film Festivals. At the San Diego World Film Festival, where legendary director John Frankenheimer was presented the prestigious Lifetime Achievement Award, Giammarco conducted a rare Q&A session with Frankenheimer about his most controversial films: The Manchurian Candidate (1962) and Seven Days in May (1964).
